Care package

I am trying to get a care package together for my Leah and instead of looking thru all the blogs in bloggy land to get ideas, I thought it would be better time management (my Christmas tree is still up in my living room! - must get down) if I told you all what I have and tell me what I need to add!
So far I have:
3 outfits and one sleeper (too much?)
A three pack a soft socks (or should i do a pair of robeez?)
2 disposable Kodak cameras
Jelly Belly package for foster parents (made in USA)
A Valentine soft dolly for Leah
A pink picture book for her to hold with our photos in it
A soft pink lovey that we have been sleeping with so it has our scent
I think I will also add a Starbucks viva coffee pack and altoids for foster family
What do you think?

  1. Not sure your agency, but we are not allowed to send gifts for the FM. Ours had to fit in a gallon zip-loc...but you would be amazed at how much one can fit in that little bag! I think the rest sounds great and if your agency allows gifts to the FM, I say go for it! SO HAPPY FOR YOU! I can't wait to see Miss Leah!

  3. All sounds good! Just make sure you can stuff it into a small package. Lots of agencies require it to be no more then a gallon size zip locked bag.

  4. I am so glad to be able to follow your journey to Leah. I love that the Lord is completing your family through adoption and that I can just follow your example on what to do next! :) It is so thoughtful to send a package, something that we were unable to do with Lindsey. Still waiting to see Leah's picture!!

    Congratulations, again!!!

  7. Wow, that's awesome if you can get all that in a gallon sized bag! Sounds like a nice care package :-) I've been told that you will not always get the clothes and stuff back, so I might keep that in mind too which what you are sending. Not sure if that is FF specific or what?

  8. First, congrats on your referral! I mostly lurk on your blog and was so happy to see you finally got word of your daughter. We were with the same agency (brought our son home in June 2010). I sent one of the Hallmark books that you can record your voice on and it was a huge hit over in Korea with the foster mom and social worker. It was also our sons favorite thing to do/listen to when he came home. Congrats again!

  9. Yes, what Brandi said is true. We only got a few things back that we sent over for Holden. Some of the things I would of liked to of had back, they kept. I am thinking that is a lot to get into a bag, good luck!!!

  10. Wow! Sounds like you have a lot of things to send. We also were not supposed to send anything for the foster family at this point (but we did bring them gifts when we went to Korea). Everything was supposed to be for our child only and also all had to fit in a 1-gallon plastic ziplock bag. I crammed a lot in there.
