Tensions in North and South Korea

The tensions in North and South Korea are making me SO nervous. I keep reading updates in the news about who is on who's side. It appears China has joined the South in condeming the North for the missle attack in March. And the North says they did not send the missle, and will retaliate with war if the South makes any moves. SIGH. I am so nervous a full war is going to break out over there and I am not going to get my Leah. I am trying SO hard to trust God in this, but every time I read more news I can't help but be fearful. I know HE has everything in His hands, including my little girl. So if you would, could you please say a prayer peace remains in Korea?

  1. This has been on my mind so much lately too. There was another squirmish between the North & South shortly before we went to get Little D and I was so anxious about it. I was a total basketcase following all the stories about it in the media. My mind has again been with all the people over there...in BOTH Koreas...especially all the babies waiting to come home to their forever families. I have been praying and thinking so much about this...that it is handled the right way. Peace must prevail.

  2. I know - it is a little scary. But praying nightly that tensions do not grow.

  3. You're posting my thoughts on your blog - how did that happen? :) (that's more of a wry smile). I've been trying to pray about and have faith but this is definitely raising my stress level. I also have a friend who is about to move to Korea so her stress level is currently through the roof. Thinking of you. Take care.

  4. I know... this stuff is making me sad too. As hokey as it sounds, I wish we could all just live in peace already! Grr...
The hardest thing about adoption is that SOOO much is just completely out of our hands. Ugh.
    Hang in there, mama.

  5. It's made me a bit uncomfortable too. The only thing that makes me feel a little OK about it is that this seems to happen every few years and everything goes back to normal. So I'm praying that is the case again. Let's hope!

  6. I know what you are saying. Part of me is really sad too that this is the coverage that S's country is getting over here... I'd prefer not to have that be the thing everyone relates S. Korea to! I've heard this happens every so often as well. Let's hope it's just a "puffing out of the chest" and it goes no farther!
